Holistic House and Community Healing Foundation Programming

Our current programming surrounds mental health and wellness for youth and families. We have six current programs and several programs in development.

1. Community Mentorship Program

Objective: To foster nurturing relationships between experienced mentors and youth. Activities: One-on-one and group mentoring sessions focusing on personal development, life skills, and emotional support. Mentors come from various professional backgrounds to provide guidance and share experiences.

2. Family Healing Program

Objective: To reduce conflict within family systems and address generational trauma. Activities: Family counseling sessions that incorporate therapy techniques aimed at improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening family bonds. Workshops cover topics like effective parenting, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence.

3. Future Leaders Speaking Series

Objective: To inspire youth and families by exposing them to successful role models and speakers. Activities: Monthly speaking events featuring local leaders, educators, entrepreneurs, and motivational speakers who discuss their paths to success, overcoming obstacles, and the importance of community and education.

4. Summer Leadership and Wellness Camp

Objective: To provide a supportive environment where youth can develop leadership skills and healthy lifestyles. Activities: A one-week camp that offers leadership training, wellness activities, football, track and field, and workshops on health and nutrition. The camp promotes physical health, mental well-being, and social responsibility.

5. College Readiness and Success Program

Objective: To prepare high school students for college and future careers. Activities: This program includes SAT/ACT preparation, college application guidance, financial aid workshops, college tours, and sessions on study skills and time management. Mentors provide support throughout the college application process, and guest speakers from various professions share insights on career planning.

6. Community Counseling and Resource Center

Objective: To provide accessible mental health services and community support resources. Activities: The center offers counseling services for individuals, groups, and families, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and stress management. The center also provides resources and referrals for employment assistance, health services, and educational programs.

These programs are designed to address the comprehensive needs of the community served by the Holistic House and Community Healing Foundation, supporting its mission to transform lives and communities through holistic support and empowerment.
